🃏 How to Select Cards for Cartomancy Readings
Before beginning a cartomancy reading, the cards should be shuffled with intention. If you are giving a reading to someone else, it is traditional for the reader to shuffle the cards first, and then allow the querent (the person receiving the reading) to shuffle the deck as well.
While shuffling, focus on the question or situation. The cards may then be drawn from the top of the deck or randomly selected from anywhere in the pack.

Shuffle the deck while focusing on the person you desire.
- Turn the top card face up on the left side of the table.
- Continue placing six more cards to the right, forming a row of seven cards.
If the Ace of Hearts appears before any Spade, it is believed that you will win the heart of the person you desire.
🌟 Three Wishes – Will My Wish Come True?
Shuffle the deck while concentrating on your wish.
Keep in mind:
- Nine of Hearts – the traditional wish card
- Ten of Spades – the disappointment card
If the Nine of Hearts appears before the Ten of Spades, your wish is likely to come true.
✨ Four Aces Wish Method
Shuffle the deck and draw thirteen cards from anywhere in the deck. Lay them face down and then turn them face up.
- If Aces appear, remove them and place them aside.
- Shuffle the deck again and repeat the process two more times.
If all four Aces appear during the three rounds, your wish will be granted.
🔮 Seven Card Wish Reading
Shuffle the deck while concentrating on your wish.
Hold the deck face down and remove every seventh card, placing it into a separate pile until you have seven cards.
Turn the cards face up.
If the Nine of Hearts (the wish card) appears among them, your wish may be granted.

- Randomly choose thirteen cards and place them face down in a row from left to right.

Lay them in a row from left to right.
- Card 1: Recent past or present situation
- Card 2: Current events or near future
- Card 3–7: Gradual unfolding of the future

Turn them face up and interpret their combined meaning. Together they reveal the likely outcome of the situation.

Shuffle the deck and randomly select twenty-one cards.
Lay them face up in three rows of seven cards.
- First row: Current issues and influences
- Middle row: The near future and unfolding events
- Last row: The more distant future
Read the cards from left to right, moving down through the rows.
