🔮 The Wish Spread (Cartomancy)
The Wish Spread is a traditional cartomancy method used to explore whether a wish or desire may come true. This spread focuses on the position of the Nine of Hearts, which is widely known as the Wish Card in playing card divination.
How to Perform the Wish Spread
- Choose a significator card that represents you, or the person receiving the reading.
- Remove this card from the deck and place it to the side for now.
- Shuffle the remaining cards while concentrating on your wish.
- When ready, lay two cards face down on the table from left to right.
- Leave a space for the significator card.
- Place two more cards to the right, creating five positions in total.
- Place the significator card face up in the center gap.
You now have five positions across the table.
Next, begin dealing the remaining cards from the deck one by one onto the five piles, moving from left to right repeatedly, until all cards are used.
Interpreting the Wish Spread
Once all cards are dealt, examine the piles to see where the Nine of Hearts appears.
Third Pile (with the significator)
Your wish is highly likely to come true.
First Pile
Your wish may be granted after a short delay.
Second Pile
Your wish may be partially fulfilled, but not exactly as imagined.
Fourth Pile
Your wish is unlikely to come true.
Fifth Pile
Be cautious—this wish may bring unexpected trouble or complications.
